Job Description

The Maintenance Manager will oversee and manage all maintenance activities and projects to ensure minimal business disruptions and optimal resource utilization. The role involves defining and implementing maintenance procedures and standards, while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance activities and projects to address breakdowns and malfunctions.
• Define and implement maintenance procedures and standards.
• Monitor the cost-effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve reliability and safety standards.
• Plan and monitor equipment maintenance on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools to enhance team capabilities.
• Ensure maintenance tools and devices are kept and maintained orderly.
• Participate in the implementation and integration of safety procedures in maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with standards and relevant policies and regulations.
• Prepare work orders and monitor progress against estimates.
• Evaluate, select, and manage contractor relationships to minimize costs and ensure satisfactory service standards.
• Liaise with managers throughout the organization to coordinate scheduled maintenance activities with their operations.
• Monitor employee performance, ensuring proper training and cross-training.
• Administer personnel functions, including recruiting, job description reviews, salary classifications, and personnel selection and placement.

Essential Skills

• Maintenance management experience.
• Proficiency with SAP.
• Leadership and supervision skills.
• Troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience as a maintenance technician.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent command of both oral and written local language and English.
• Good command of an additional language is beneficial.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in maintenance management.
• Prior experience in a supervisory position.

Work Environment

The role is based in a plant yard environment within a mineral plant. The conditions can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wathena, KS.

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
