Assembly Mechanic

Job Title: Assembly Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools such as drill motors, hand squeeze riveters, pneumatic riveters, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints to follow customer specifications.
• Drill and countersink holes for the installation of riveted nut plates, bolts, and fasteners.
• Install bushings and bearings, including the use of staking, arbor press, and hydraulic press.
• Operate manual machines like Bridgeport and lathes to complete assembly tasks.
• Mix and apply aircraft sealants including fay, fillet, and shank sealing.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with sheet metal, blueprint reading, and nuts and sealing.
• At least 1 year of experience working with bearings and nut plates.
• Experience with sealant application, drilling, and countersinking.

Pay

• $20/hr-$21/hr

Shift

• This position operates from 7am to 3:30pm in a climate-controlled environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
