The ideal candidate brings a solid experience in aerospace structures, regulatory compliance, and hands-on MRO experience.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate structural damage or discrepancies discovered during inspections and heavy maintenance checks.
  • Develop engineering repair instructions and Engineering Orders (EOs) in accordance with FAA/EASA regulations and OEM Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs).
  • Design and substantiate structural repairs and modifications, including static strength and fatigue/damage tolerance analyses.
  • Provide on-site engineering support during maintenance activities, including immediate technical guidance for structural repairs.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and regulatory agencies to obtain approvals for major repairs or deviations.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, including repair reports, engineering drawings, and modification packages.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of assessments, repair dispositions, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in aircraft structural engineering or MRO support.
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft structural systems, composite materials, and industry-standard repair methods.
  • Proficiency in CAD and structural analysis tools (e.g., AutoCAD, CATIA, NASTRAN).
  • Experience with FAA/EASA regulations and OEM documentation (e.g., Boeing, Airbus SRMs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support AOG situations and travel as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with both commercial and military aircraft.
  • Familiarity with MRO software systems such as AMOS or TRAX.
  • Knowledge of fatigue life management and damage tolerance principles.

Work Environment

This is an office-based role with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Occasional travel is required for on-site support or training, and may involve evenings, weekends, or holidays during critical maintenance windows.

Compensation:$52
