As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and verifying cutting tools per machine requirements. You will perform a variety of machining operations, such as boring, drilling, milling, tapping, and threading on raw materials to produce machined parts that meet engineering specifications.
Responsibilities- Set up and verify cutting tools according to machine requirements.
- Perform machining operations including boring, drilling, milling, tapping, and threading.
- Produce machined parts to specified tolerances and dimensions.
- Ensure all operations are in accordance with engineering specifications.
- 3 years of machining experience.
- 1 year of conventional machining experience.
- Working knowledge of properties of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum for part fabrication.
- Thorough knowledge of methods in processing materials to prevent material loss and machine delays.
- Ability to operate conventional and computerized machining equipment, including mills and lathes.
- Ability to operate tool grinding equipment.
- Experience with machining and fabrication.
- Familiarity with aluminum materials.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a non-climate controlled facility in Wichita, KS. The dress code is casual, allowing for pants or shorts and a shirt, with the exception of tank tops and cut-offs. The position offers flexibility with the option of working a 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM, or a 3rd shift from 11:30 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
