As a Structures Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing various aircraft systems, including hydraulic systems, high-pressure air/nitrogen/oxygen systems, alcohol anti-ice systems, refrigerated air systems, and ground support equipment. You will perform functional tests simulating both ground and flight conditions on aircraft mechanical systems.
Responsibilities- Service and maintain hydraulic, high-pressure air/nitrogen/oxygen, and alcohol anti-ice systems.
- Handle refrigerated air systems and ground support equipment for various aircraft models.
- Perform functional tests simulating ground and flight conditions on aircraft mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret engineering documents and system schematics.
- Operate ground support equipment to simulate conditions.
- Adjust electrical switches per applicable systems.
- Troubleshoot, modify, and repair mechanical aircraft systems and airframes.
- 5 years of aircraft structures modification experience.
- Experience in flight line, repair station, and MRO.
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical aircraft systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.
- Basic and working knowledge of electrical aircraft systems.
- Knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft.
- Experience working on aircraft final assembly and system installation.
- Ability to achieve sufficient technical qualifications for product verification certification.

Work EnvironmentThe work will be conducted at a Flight Test Center in Wichita, KS, in a non-climate-controlled environment where customers frequently visit. Shifts include 1st shift (Monday-Friday; 6:30am-3pm), 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday; 1pm-11:30pm), and weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday; 6:30am-6:30pm). Candidates must be open to working all shifts.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
