Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of equipment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, electrical repairs, and mechanical troubleshooting to keep our systems running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and maintain organization in maintenance practices.
- Perform operational maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Enter all work performed into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct electrical repairs on 480v, 220v, and 110v AC/DC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace bearings, cylinders, and other mechanical parts.
- Perform MIG welding tasks as needed.
- Assist Blade Technician with setup and repairs.
- Support the operations department with equipment and production issues.
- Execute mechanical troubleshooting using power tools and hand tools.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on packaging machines.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance repair.
- Experience with conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Skilled in preventive maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in mechanical and electrical repairs is a plus.
- Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and perform related repairs.
- MIG welding skills.
- Military background in mechanical or electrical fields is advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills, including the use of Word, Excel, and maintenance software for creating work orders, repair parts lists, equipment repairs, and PMs.

Work Environment
This role is situated in a facility that cleans, rinses, cuts, and distributes produce. The work environment is cold and wet, with temperatures maintained between 34-40 degrees. The floors are wet due to continuous sanitation and washing, and there is a strong smell of Chlorine and Citric Acid used for cleaning. Candidates should be comfortable in this environment and confirm any allergies to Chlorine.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Covington, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $32.00/hr.
