Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description
This role supports the Process Engineering team in implementing changes to materials used in coatings. The position requires frequent visits to production areas to identify scrap and improve processes for efficiency. Responsibilities include process design for mechanisms to handle rollers, creating and documenting new procedures, and training operators. Additional tasks may involve line optimization, statistical analysis, and assisting with new PPAP documentation for over 100 parts.
Responsibilities
- Identify scrap and improve process efficiency in production areas.
- Design processes for mechanisms to pick up rollers and create new procedures.
- Design carts for material movement.
- Write and document new procedures for operators.
- Provide training to operators on new procedures.
- Optimize production lines and conduct statistical analysis.
- Assist with new PPAP documentation for over 100 parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
- Knowledge of plating and coating
- Automotive industry experience with companies like Ford and GM
- Six Sigma certification
- Stamping experience
Work Environment
The company specializes in stamping and gaskets. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required on the floor, including safety shoes, sleeves, and safety glasses. The role offers a contract opportunity approved through March 2026, with the potential for extension. This position provides valuable experience in the automotive and heavy industrial industry.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Danville, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $37.00 - $48.00/hr.
