Job Description
Join a growing manufacturing team that builds high-quality chiller units for data centers and custom equipment. In this hands-on assembler role, you will use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble products, support general shop operations, and help keep production running smoothly. As you gain experience, you will have opportunities to cross-train into additional assembly areas and expand your technical skill set.
Responsibilities
- Assemble chiller units for data center applications by following detailed work instructions and build specifications.
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during daily assembly tasks.
- Assist with general shop and production support, including sweeping and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Shrink-wrap and package materials or completed units to prepare them for shipping or storage.
- Perform material handling and clean-up tasks to support other assemblers and keep production flowing efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with the assembly team to meet or exceed daily production goals.
- Follow all safety guidelines, quality standards, and company procedures during assembly and shop activities.
- Cross-train over time into additional areas, including custom unit assembly and related manufacturing processes.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, or work instructions as required for assembly tasks.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by maintaining a positive attitude and being open to learning new skills and processes.
Shifts:
First shift: Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m
- one 30-minute lunch and two paid 10-minute breaks
Second shift: Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m
- one 30-minute lunch and two paid 10-minute breaks
Essential Skills
- At least 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in sheet metal or mechanical assembly.
- Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and power tools in a production environment.
- Basic understanding of assembly processes in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, build specifications, and basic blueprints or schematics.
- Reliable work ethic with a strong motivation to learn and grow within the company.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication or mechanical assembly is strongly preferred.
- Background in the HVAC or related manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Exposure to electrical work, including reading schematics and performing basic wiring, is beneficial.
- Ability to fabricate or work with sheet metal components is an advantage.
- Comfort working in a production environment using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn new skills, and enthusiasm for contributing to a fun, hardworking team culture.
- Long-term mindset with interest in stability and growth rather than frequent job changes.

Work Environment
The role is based in a large, climate-controlled warehouse with windows, high ceilings, and dedicated machine and assembly areas in a brand-new building. The team is relatively small and close-knit, with a family-style atmosphere and regular holiday parties and employee appreciation events. The dress code is casual, with steel-toe boots required for safety. The company currently operates from a Maple Grove facility and plans to move assemblers to a Dayton site when it opens, supporting both HVAC and data center business lines.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
