Hardware Asset Manager

On‑Site | Full‑Time

Position Overview

A Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Business Analyst is needed to support day‑to‑day asset lifecycle operations within a large enterprise environment. This role focuses on tracking, monitoring, auditing, and maintaining hardware assets throughout their lifecycle. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and experienced in asset management processes, data analysis, and IT service management tools.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Tracking & Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of hardware asset locations.
  • Receive new assets and document model, serial number, purchase details, warranty information, and assigned location.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track distribution, and notify staff when stock is low.

Lifecycle Management

  • Support hardware lifecycle activities including deployment, reassignment, auditing, and disposal.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining lifecycle policies and procedures.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Generate detailed reports from the IT service management system.
  • Resolve compliance issues and ensure data accuracy across asset records.
  • Conduct audits to validate asset information and maintain data integrity.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Communicate professionally with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support asset‑related initiatives.

Documentation & Analysis

  • Perform in‑depth data analysis related to hardware asset management.
  • Research asset information, discrepancies, and lifecycle requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of direct experience in hardware asset management.
  • Strong data analytics skills with the ability to interpret and analyze asset data.
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work professionally with vendors and external partners.
  • Experience with IT asset management or discovery tools (knowledge of ITSM platforms is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Asset management certifications.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience with IT service management platforms.

This is a Contract position based out of Frankfort, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
