Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

As a Process Engineer, you will lead initiatives focused on improving quality processes, materials, costs, productivity, safety, environmental standards, and equipment. You will play a key role in change management and provide daily process support to ensure the integrity of vehicles and processes.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and support initiatives for quality, safety, and process improvement.
  • Manage change processes and provide daily process support.
  • Ensure vehicle and process integrity through rigorous standards.
  • Lead introductions of new materials with no negative impact on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee equipment refurbishment projects and process changes.
  • Support production-initiated kaizen to maintain or improve KPI outcomes.
  • Investigate daily inquiries from production and maintenance teams.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental investigations.
  • Analyze and resolve perceived process and equipment problems.
  • Report problems, root causes, and recommend solutions to management.
  • Propose solutions based on cost, time, feasibility, and production impact.
  • Develop project proposals, strategies, and operating plans.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in project management.
  • Proficiency in paint systems and Fanuc robotics.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience with paint in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with high visibility materials.
  • Knowledge in automation engineering.
  • Experience in equipment installation.
  • Willingness to work weekends and during shutdown periods as necessary.

Work Environment

The work environment is the largest manufacturing facility in Kentucky, specifically within the Paint Group. This position involves working in a hot, dirty, and loud environment. There are opportunities for training and skill development with on-site facilities. The company offers two weeks of paid time off, two weeks of paid shutdown, and nine paid holidays per year. Direct employment opportunities are available from contractor positions.
