Job Title: Maintenance Technician $28+

Job Description

This position is primarily responsible for properly maintaining and repairing assigned company production machinery, mechanical equipment, and/or property in a generalist capacity. This includes preventative maintenance, welding, and fabrication as needed. You will be tasked with ensuring all equipment and facilities are in good repair to facilitate continuous and effective operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Assist in keeping all equipment and facilities in good repair.
• Perform advanced maintenance, including reading mechanical schematics, cutting and keying shafts, broaching sprockets, and welding stainless metal.
• Utilize both hand tools and power tools for maintenance duties.
• Set up and tear down equipment and assist with major repairs and construction.
• Maintain an orderly work area and ensure all areas are clean and safe.
• Participate in and complete training to increase job-related trade skills.
• Assist with training lower-level maintenance employees.
• Support welding and fabrication of processing and packaging equipment.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and ensure safety standards are met.
• Conduct yourself in accordance with the company's mission, values, and code of ethics.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics repair.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
• Basic to advanced electrical skills, including using a voltage meter.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and Allen-Bradley equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of PLC and Automation controls is a plus.
• Experience with welding and 3-phase electrical troubleshooting.

Work Environment

This role is based in an extremely large food manufacturing facility where the aroma of pizza is prevalent. Candidates should be prepared for varying temperatures within the facility, including freezer, refrigerated, and warmer areas near the bakery lines. Awareness of these conditions is essential for comfort and effectiveness in the role.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ghent, KY.

The pay range for this position is $48360.00 - $67080.00/yr.
