Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our on-site IT support team. This position requires hands-on experience in desktop setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a Windows-based environment. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable assisting with a range of additional technical tasks, including basic support for security systems, servers, and networking equipment.
This is a unique, field-based role in a secure, structured setting where professionalism and adaptability are essential. The technician will be providing technical support to staff while occasionally interacting with individuals assigned to assist with daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site hardware and software support to end users
- Perform installations, diagnostics, and repair of desktop systems and peripherals
- Support device imaging and software deployments
- Assist with maintaining IT infrastructure, including cameras, servers, and switches
- Manage service tickets and document resolutions
- Communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service in a high-security environment
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience with desktop support and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and standard office applications
- Ability to carry and maneuver heavy equipment, and work in physically demanding environments
- Valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to attend and complete mandatory training sessions lasting up to three weeks
