Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our on-site IT support team. This position requires hands-on experience in desktop setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a Windows-based environment. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable assisting with a range of additional technical tasks, including basic support for security systems, servers, and networking equipment.

This is a unique, field-based role in a secure, structured setting where professionalism and adaptability are essential. The technician will be providing technical support to staff while occasionally interacting with individuals assigned to assist with daily operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site hardware and software support to end users
  • Perform installations, diagnostics, and repair of desktop systems and peripherals
  • Support device imaging and software deployments
  • Assist with maintaining IT infrastructure, including cameras, servers, and switches
  • Manage service tickets and document resolutions
  • Communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service in a high-security environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with desktop support and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and standard office applications
  • Ability to carry and maneuver heavy equipment, and work in physically demanding environments
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Willingness to attend and complete mandatory training sessions lasting up to three weeks

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent organizational abilities and self-direction
  • Familiarity with support ticketing systems
  • Adaptable mindset and strong interpersonal communication skills
