Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment, including motors, conveyors, and presses. The main duties involve performing preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, working with mechanical and chain-driven machines, and lubricating machines. The role requires spending 25% of the time on basic maintenance of the machines and 75% operating the rectifying machine.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Operate and maintain mechanical and chain-driven machines.
- Lubricate machines as part of routine maintenance.
- Work 25% of the time on basic maintenance tasks and 75% on operating the rectifying machine.
- Experience in maintenance, mechanical, and mechanic operations.
- Proficiency in working with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Must supply own hand tools or have the ability to acquire them.
This opportunity offers significant growth potential with a structured advancement path through four additional levels, each accompanied by pay increases. A $2/hr shift differential is available for night shift workers.
Work Environment
Join a large tile manufacturer with 140 people on-site. The environment is dusty due to tile dust but remains relatively clean. Some tasks involve working in high areas on tall equipment such as scaffolding. The facility can become very hot in the summer, especially around kilns and ovens. Steel-toed footwear is required, but shorts and cut-off t-shirts are permitted. This position primarily covers the glaze and body prep/raw materials line. The current opening is on the highly automated selection line, which is more comfortable and cleaner than other areas of the plant.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrenceburg, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
