Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support installations, new launches, and special/capital projects in the machining department. The role involves executing engineering strategies and new product launches, developing priorities and objectives in cooperation with site management teams, and overseeing continuous improvements throughout the plant. Proficiency in Solidworks and CAD is essential for this position.


Responsibilities

  • Support installations, new launches, and special/capital projects in collaboration with project management.
  • Execute engineering strategies and new product launches.
  • Develop priorities and objectives in cooperation with site management teams and oversee their implementation.
  • Drive continuous improvements throughout the plant.
  • Utilize Solidworks and CAD for design and development purposes.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience or strong co-op/internship experience for entry-level candidates.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology, or 5+ years of automotive experience if there is no engineering degree.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks and CAD.
  • Experience in PLC programming.
  • Expertise in automotive manufacturing engineering.
  • Robotics troubleshooting skills.


Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in process improvement, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, project management, HMI, PLCs, Allen-Bradley, tooling, and machining.
  • Industrial engineering experience.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility as needed. The role requires spending 80% of the time on the manufacturing floor and 20% in the office. The work environment is dirty, fast-paced, and not temperature-controlled. The employee must be able to sit or stand for long periods, occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds, and walk 10K+ steps a day. The role requires working 40-60 hours per week, including weekends (on a rotation) and holiday work. Up to 5% domestic and international travel may be required. Steel-toed boots are mandatory on the manufacturing floor.
