Job Title: Pipefitters
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to perform skilled installation, repair, and commissioning of commercial and industrial HVAC piping systems, including hydronic, chilled water, steam, hot water, and process piping. This role requires strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain hydronic, chilled water, hot water, steam, and process piping systems.
- Repair and replace piping systems, valves, pumps, equipment, and pipe supports.
- Perform equipment startups, functional system check‑outs, system testing, and commissioning.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and P&IDs to complete accurate system installations.
- Document all work, including service reports, as-builts, and compliance records.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams, supervisors, and clients to ensure timely, quality result.
- Maintain strict safety compliance with OSHA, company policies, and site‑specific requirements.
- Fabricate piping using threading, welding, grooving, and layout techniques.
- Troubleshoot piping and HVAC system issues using advanced mechanical knowledge.
Qualifications
- 3 years of commercial/industrial pipefitting experience, especially wet‑side HVAC systems (chillers, boilers, hydronic).
- Journeyman Pipefitter license (or ability to obtain promptly).
- OSHA 10 and welding certifications preferred.
- Strong proficiency in blueprint reading, system layout, pipe fabrication, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and navigate uneven terrain.
Essential Skills
Technical Skills
- Expert knowledge of wet‑side HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, hydronic piping, and process piping.
- Proficiency in pipe fabrication, including threading, welding, grooving, and layout.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and P&IDs for accurate installations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, HVAC, and piping system issues.
- Skilled in equipment startups, testing, and commissioning of HVAC and piping systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial HVAC service.
- EPA certification required; NATE certification is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
