Job Title: Project Architect

Job Description

This role involves managing project loads and undertaking project management responsibilities while also engaging in design work using Revit and AutoCAD. The ideal candidate should have experience with floor plans, cross-referencing, wall sections, and construction design knowledge. A license is not required, but the ability to communicate effectively with clients is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project loads and assume a project management role.
  • Engage in design work using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Develop floor plans and ensure accurate cross-referencing.
  • Understand and implement wall sections and construction design principles.
  • Participate in client meetings and project discussions.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in floor plan development and cross-referencing.
  • Knowledge of construction design and wall sections.
  • Strong communication skills for client interaction.
  • 4 Year Architecture Degree.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with red line markups.
  • Construction and drafting experience.
  • Open to candidates from various industry backgrounds.
  • Willingness to grow in a multi-faceted role including designer, project manager, and client interfacing.

Work Environment

The work environment is characterized by a family-like culture within a small firm of 13 team members including architects, drafters, and project managers. The position offers an 8-5 Monday through Friday schedule with little overtime, a flexible work environment, and a laid-back staff. The firm provides opportunities for growth, including working on diverse projects, visiting construction sites, and supporting individuals in achieving their licenses. Benefits include 5 PTO days plus holiday pay, 100% paid benefits when direct, and a supportive atmosphere for those pursuing further education.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LEXINGTON, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
