Join our team as a Mechanic Helper, where you will be instrumental in servicing and repairing valves. This role involves using basic hand and air tools such as impact wrenches, air grinders, drills, and torches. You will disassemble pumps and valves, and perform mechanical assistance. Once trained, you will accompany a lead technician to perform assembly duties in power plants.
Responsibilities- Use basic hand and air tools for servicing and repairing valves.
- Disassemble pumps and valves to perform mechanical assistance.
- Accompany a lead technician into the field to perform assembly duties in power plants.
- Mechanical aptitude with a focus on construction and mechanical functions.
- At least 2 years of experience using hand and power tools.
- Experience in physical labor, preferably in military, service, or installation contexts.
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical work (Automotive, Service, Manufacturing).

Work EnvironmentWork in a shop environment and be prepared to get dirty. Must be open to travel. Our operations are based primarily in KY, OH, and WV. Work hours are flexible, ranging from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with the possibility of 12-hour days during outages. Be prepared to be on call some weekends.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
