Job Title: Material Supervisor/Material Planning & Logistics Process Coach
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Material Supervisor/Material Planning & Logistics Process Coach to oversee UAW employees in various plant areas. This role involves managing a department of 50-90 employees, ensuring daily tasks are completed, and enforcing adherence to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage UAW employees in different plant areas.
- Ensure daily tasks are executed efficiently and according to policies.
- Hold employees accountable for following procedures.
- Coordinate logistics and material planning within the department.
Essential Skills
- Previous supervision experience.
- Experience supervising in a union environment.
- Automotive industry experience, preferably with an OEM or tier 1 supplier.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Basic computer literacy, particularly with Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BS Degree is beneficial.
- 3-5 years of supervision experience within an automotive facility.
- Recommendations from Ford Management employees are advantageous.
- Strong soft skills and resilience in a challenging environment.

Work Environment
The role requires flexibility with hours and shifts, sometimes involving 60-70 hours per week in a fast-paced environment. You should be adept at making quick decisions. The dress code is business casual, and the position involves rotating every 3 months across A, B, and C crews with varying schedules. Supervisors are expected to arrive 30-45 minutes before production begins and stay after it ends. Pay is $37.94/hour plus overtime and shift differential, paid out on a weekly basis.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
