****This is a remote position requiring 1 day a month onsite in the Kentucky office****
Job Description
Seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to assist with entering backlog information into the database, including inspection and repair reports. This role involves researching and reviewing documents for quality and correctness and then uploading and scanning them into the database. Previous experience in GIS or drafting is advantageous to better understand the documents being checked and uploaded.
Responsibilities
- Review GIS records for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct records research to ensure data quality.
- Scan and archive data efficiently.
- Perform GIS analysis to support decision-making.
- Ensure traceable, verifiable, and complete records.
- Research historical data and maintain document control.
- Manage the document management system.
Essential Skills
- Analytical mindset to assess data effectively.
- Technical aptitude for understanding complex documents.
- Proficiency in computer databases.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous pipeline experience, particularly in pipeline integrity, is preferred.
- Does not need actual GIS Experience- open to candidates with experience within research, document control, document scanning, analytical experience, etc
Work Environment
This position offers an open-ended, long-term contract with a commitment of at least 2-3 years working within the group before applying to other opportunities. Remote work is available with a 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday. The candidate must be willing to drive into the Owensboro office one day a month for document scanning. The Owensboro office provides a quiet engineering environment with a casual dress code. Flexibility in work hours is offered once the candidate is settled in the role.
