Multicraft Industrial Maintenance Technician – Automotive Manufacturing

Location: Georgetown, KY

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: 2nd & 3rd

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly skilled Multicraft Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our fast‑paced automotive manufacturing facility. In this role, you’ll keep high‑volume production lines running safely and efficiently by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the equipment that drives our automotive assembly and component manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on automotive production equipment, including:
    • Automated assembly lines
    • Robotic welding cells (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, etc.)
    • Stamping presses and metal‑forming equipment
    • Conveyors, transfer systems, and AGVs
    • Injection molding or machining centers (if applicable)
  • Diagnose root causes of equipment failures to minimize downtime in a high‑throughput environment.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks using CMMS systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, PLC ladder logic, and OEM manuals.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and optimization of new automotive production equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and cycle times.
  • Follow all safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and automotive industry compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in automotive manufacturing or a similar high‑volume production environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Industrial electrical systems
    • PLC troubleshooting (Allen‑Bradley preferred)
    • Robotics (welding, material handling, or assembly)
    • Hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
  • Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and mechanical measuring tools.
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to production‑critical issues.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on‑call rotations as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with:
    • Robotic programming or path adjustments
    • VFDs and servo systems
    • Stamping press maintenance
    • Automated vision systems
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Industrial certifications such as:
    • Journeyman Electrician
    • Mechatronics Technician
    • Robotics Technician

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stamping Ground, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
