Job Title: Fabrication WelderJob Description

The fabrication welder role involves assembling, repairing, modifying, and installing various power plants and drive trains. This position requires soldering on electronic and avionics products, assembling and installing wire harnesses and avionics products, and performing machine setup, machining, welding setup, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and extrusion tube bending.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, repair, modify, and install power plants and drive trains.
  • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
  • Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products.
  • Conduct machine setup, machining, welding setup, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and extrusion tube bending.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum one year of welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints and drawings.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Comfortable working at heights using a JLG lift.
  • Experience assembling precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
Work Environment

The role is fully onsite in New Orleans, LA, and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional volunteer overtime available. The position is NASA safety sensitive and requires a NASA badge, which will be facilitated post-start. No travel is required, and the work duration is set for one year.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $32.00/hr.
