As a Laboratory Assistant, you’ll play a hands‑on role in sample handling, preparation, and inventory management while working closely with experienced laboratory professionals. What You’ll Do
- Receive, log, and sort incoming samples to ensure accurate identification and proper storage
- Prepare samples for testing, including adding preservatives when required
- Safely handle a wide range of materials, including crude oil, refined petroleum products, fuels, LPG, petrochemicals, industrial gases, and natural gas
- Manage sample retention and disposal according to established procedures and safety standards
- Transport materials and sample boxes (20–50 boxes per week) between storage, laboratory areas, and transport vehicles
- Support laboratory staff with basic analysis assistance, data checks, approvals, and simple calculations
- Maintain precise records to ensure traceability and compliance throughout the testing process
Key Skills You’ll Use
- Sample accessioning, labeling, sorting, and preparation

- Attention to detail in a regulated environment
What We’re Looking For
- At least 6 months of experience in a production, lab, or operational environment
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and regularly
- Demonstrated ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Reliability, organization, and comfort working with routine physical tasks
Work Environment & Schedule
- Fast‑paced laboratory setting processing up to 100 samples per day
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Team‑oriented environment with hands‑on learning opportunities
- Lab safety attire provided, including lab coats, safety glasses, and gloves
- Dress code: long pants, closed‑toe shoes, and shirts covering stomach, lower back, and upper arms
- Flexible scheduling available to accommodate school or academic commitments

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
