Job Title: Assembler

Pay Rate: $18 to $23

Location: Attleboro, MA, US

Job Description

Senior builders are expected to interpret product build details from blueprints with minimal guidance and carry out the necessary manufacturing operations to complete product assembly. This role involves setting up and breaking down the required tooling or fixtures for the specified device configuration. The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of sequential manufacturing build steps and ensure conformance at each stage until final product completion.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in build operations and support the Team Leader by providing guidance to operators in setup and quality requirement verification.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Team Leaders and Engineers to identify nonconformances with material, equipment, and tooling to ensure product build quality.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members to identify known good setups prior to build.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing material scrap and improving yields.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and diagrams.
  • Experience with resistance welding, TIG welding, pneumatic and hydraulic press setup and operation, production lathe setup and use, and electrical testing.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and teamwork capability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and comprehend both written and verbal instructions.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take orders as directed.
  • Proficiency in working with small components, sometimes under 5 mm in size.
  • Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance with availability for assigned shifts and required overtime.
  • Familiarity with computers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
  • Knowledge in cleanroom practices, medical device assembly, soldering, blueprint reading, spot welding, and production.

Work Environment

Work in a clean environment with access to a great café. The position offers two shifts: 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM and 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 12 AM. Dress code is suitable for a cleanroom setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Attleboro, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
