Job Title: Electromechanical AssemblerJob Description

We are seeking skilled Electromechanical Assemblers to assist with the assembly of new robotic equipment. The role involves assembling various components such as conveyors, robotic arms, control boxes, and other electrical parts. As this is a dynamic environment, candidates must be adaptable and able to think critically during assembly processes. You will follow schematics and electrical drawings, although flexibility is required as these products are innovative and may not have fully developed drawings. After assembly, you will perform tests to ensure functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise. An understanding of research and development environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble robotic equipment components including conveyors, robotic arms, and control boxes.
  • Follow schematics and electrical drawings, adapting when necessary due to incomplete documentation.
  • Conduct tests on assembled products to ensure proper operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with assembled equipment.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and torque tools on pneumatic systems.
  • Document assembly processes and any issues encountered.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in electromechanical assembly.
  • Ability to follow schematics and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision equipment.
  • Familiarity with production, mechanical, electronic, and electrical assembly processes.
  • Knowledge of wiring and electrical assembly techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in robotics and assembly processes.
  • Electrical wiring and cable harnessing expertise.
  • Experience working in a research and development setting.

Work Environment

You will work as part of a team of five in a technician space within a state-of-the-art robotics facility. The work hours are from 8am to 4:30pm, providing a structured and collaborative environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bedford, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
