Workday Finance Implementation Consultant
Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on functional analyst to support the full-cycle implementation and ongoing support of Workday Financials. This role involves close collaboration with Finance leadership and stakeholders to deliver Workday Financials solutions from design through go-live, including configuration, testing, reporting, and end-user support. The position emphasizes functional ownership over technical configuration.
Responsibilities
- Support the full-cycle implementation of Workday Financials from design through go-live and post-production support.
- Focus on core Workday Financials modules including General Ledger, Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Customer Accounts, and Fixed Assets.
- Translate business requirements into functional design and system configuration.
- Manage system changes from intake through deployment.
- Support testing activities including test script creation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect tracking and resolution.
- Partner closely with Finance leadership to deliver functional solutions.
- Support reporting, documentation, and end-user training.
- Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
- Provide ongoing functional support post-implementation.
Essential Skills
- 4+ years of Workday Financials implementation experience.
- Proven full-cycle Workday Financials implementation experience.
- Strong functional expertise across Workday Financials modules.
- Solid accounting and finance domain knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with UAT, test scripts, and defect resolution.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead end-to-end functional workstreams in cash management and accounts payable.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- ERP systems knowledge.
- Experience with customer accounts and financial analysis.
This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
