Scientist – Immunology (Autoimmune & Inflammatory Diseases)
Location: Cambridge, MA | Department: Immunology | Job Type: Full-Time - Contract
Are you passionate about advancing science to improve patient lives? Join a dynamic Immunology team focused on discovering novel therapeutic targets for autoimmune and chronic inflammatory diseases. We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Scientist to help develop innovative in vitro models for immune-mediated diseases, with a focus on psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of computational biology and experimental immunology, contributing to impactful research in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Design and execute in vitro cellular assays using both cell lines and primary cells
- Optimize cell culture conditions and phenotypic assays
- Perform molecular and protein analysis techniques including:
- PCR and gene expression profiling
- ELISA/MSD and Western blotting
- Analyze and interpret experimental data; present findings in internal meetings
- Maintain meticulous lab records and contribute to scientific discussions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate novel therapeutic targets
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus!)
- Experience with flow cytometry and tissue explant models
- Familiarity with autoimmune disease biology
What We’re Looking For
- BS/BA in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related field with 1–4 years of lab experience (MS degree preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience in sterile cell culture and assay development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for science, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset
