Computational Scientist – AI/ML for Antibody & Biologic Design (Remote‑Eligible)
We are seeking a highly skilled Computational Scientist to help advance next‑generation antibody and biologic discovery using cutting‑edge AI/ML methods. In this role, you will apply machine learning, deep learning, and generative modeling to protein, antibody, and oligonucleotide design. You will collaborate closely with research teams to build models that accelerate discovery across modalities including antibodies, siRNA, PMOs, and conjugates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply AI/ML and generative modeling approaches to enable novel antibody and protein designs.
- Support multiple biologic modalities—including antibodies, siRNA, PMOs, and conjugates—using predictive and generative ML tools.
- Build, train, and optimize machine learning models for DNA, RNA, and protein sequence‑to‑function predictions.
- Contribute to model architecture selection, dataset curation, and workflow development for biologics discovery.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary scientists to integrate computational outputs into experimental pipelines.
- Present findings, document methodologies, and support ongoing platform development.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in antibody design, characterization, or oligonucleotide chemistry.
- Strong understanding of deep learning architectures, including RNNs, GNNs, and generative AI frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience applying ML techniques to DNA, RNA, and protein datasets.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced research environment while contributing to collaborative team goals.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with protein engineering, molecular modeling, and sequence‑based ML.
- Familiarity with antibody discovery workflows and biologics R&D.
- Hands‑on experience with Python ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate computational insights for wet‑lab partners.
Work Schedule & Location
- Remote candidates are welcome.
- Ideal candidates are located within 1 hour of Cambridge, MA for occasional onsite meetings and team collaboration.
