Are you a seasoned quality professional passionate about food safety, regulatory excellence, and continuous improvement? We’re looking for a Quality Manager to lead quality and compliance operations at our Massachusetts manufacturing site, where we produce annatto-derived ingredients through cutting-edge distillation processes. This is your opportunity to make a real impact—own the site’s quality systems, drive regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of excellence across production, warehousing, and the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Champion a culture of quality and food safety across the site.
- Serve as the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and lead the implementation of the Food Safety Plan.
- Oversee the Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS), including SOPs, training, change control, and documentation.
- Lead GMP, HACCP, Food Defense, and Food Fraud training programs.
- Manage sanitation validation, internal inspections, and environmental monitoring.
- Own the recall program and ensure full traceability across the supply chain.
- Collaborate with contractors (pest control, sanitation, uniforms) to maintain high standards.
- Review and approve production batch records and manage nonconformities and CAPAs.
- Investigate quality issues and customer complaints with a root-cause mindset.
- Oversee QA processes for warehouse operations including receiving, sampling, and storage.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance within food, dietary supplements, or ingredient manufacturing.
- PCQI certification and hands-on experience with FDA regulations (21 CFR 111 & 117).
- Strong knowledge of FSVP and supplier quality management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management tools.

- Location: On-site in Hadley, MA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
- Salary Range: $130,000 – $140,000/year
