Job Description

We have multiple openings for the position of Manufacturing Chemist II across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. This role offers a dynamic opportunity for career growth within a thriving Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) in the biotech industry.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with GMP standards and safety protocols.
  • Proactively identify and report safety hazards and incidents.
  • Accurately complete GMP documentation and review basic records such as logbooks.
  • Assist in revising procedures under direct supervision.
  • Participate in investigations and support execution of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
  • Contribute to small-scale continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform assigned production activities, ensuring all required training is completed and compliant prior to operations.
  • Apply basic problem-solving skills to identify abnormal results and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in designated process areas.


Essential Skills Needed

  • Proficiency in pH testing, aseptic technique, buffer preparation, UV Vis spectrophotometry, and general Chemistry.
  • Experience with GMP, UV Vis, and pH Meter operations.
  • Knowledge of purification, chromatography, and biotechnology processes.
  • Two plus years of experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment.


Qualifications

  • Minimum education requirements: high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: college-level Chemistry degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A biotechnology certificate or college degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory instrumentation such as use of pH meter, UV instrumentation, and solution delivery systems (process skids).
