Job Description
As a Buyer I, you will assist the Buying Team in expanding our product selection by setting up new vendors and items, maintaining the product catalog, and managing pricing. This role involves coordinating new product launches, maintaining product costs, retail pricing, content, and images, and fostering vendor relations. You will also assist with special projects and act as a backup to the Control Buyer.
Responsibilities
- Set up new vendors and items to expand product selection.
- Maintain the product catalog, including product cost, retail price, content, and images.
- Coordinate new product launches.
- Manage vendor relations and assist with special projects.
- Support and train as a backup to the Control Buyer.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle EBS or SAP.
- Knowledge of supply chain management.
- Understanding of data management and databases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in a high-volume, global procurement and operations manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing procurement needs for new product introduction programs.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. You will work 40 hours a week during core business hours. This is a Contract position based out of North Reading, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr.
