Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist


Job Description

Join a dynamic team in Northborough, MA as an Accounts Payable Specialist in a contract-to-hire capacity. Initially, the role requires full-time on-site work. After a period of 6-8 weeks, there is an opportunity to transition to a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to work from home two days a week.


Responsibilities

  • Process 50-75 invoices per week, focusing on accounts payable tasks.
  • Ensure proper and timely filing of tax documentation, including registration and franchise fees.
  • Collaborate with various departments to prepare customer quotations, handle complaints, and provide daily shipping information.
  • Maintain and update pricing logs and worksheets.
  • Utilize ERP systems for entering orders, creating customer invoices, and cash collection.
  • Assist with the logistics for US tradeshows, including accommodation and flight reservations, as well as ordering and shipping marketing materials.
  • Support the registration process for suppliers with US branded customers.
  • Prepare bank deposits as directed.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required by management.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in accounts payable, particularly processing 50-75 invoices weekly.
  • Proficiency in invoice processing and entry.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of sales tax.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting tradeshow logistics is beneficial.
  • Comfortable communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment

You will have your own dedicated desk space and work closely with the team. As the sole accounts payable professional, you should be experienced and comfortable seeking guidance when needed. Effective communication is key, as the role requires regular interaction with internal and external parties. The position provides excellent benefits upon transitioning to a permanent role, including solid health and PTO benefits, along with the flexibility of working from home two days a week.
