Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures to maintain production and quality systems. This role may also include grounds maintenance, all while ensuring compliance with EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair production machines and plant facility equipment.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities, including some HVAC.
- Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry functions.
- Utilize various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Assist with snow removal during winter months.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Complete facility inspections.
- Respond quickly in emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
- Proficiency in maintenance technician tasks, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of PLC diagnostics and electronic controls.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and forklifts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills and mechanical inclination.
- Leadership skills to provide direction, training, and performance feedback.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
- Ability to be respirator certified.
- Experience operating snow blowers, lawnmowers, and small hand tools.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
