R&D Electrical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute electrical/electronic design duties including system development, integration and testing for a variety of security detection products.
• Develop design specification documents including system specifications, schematics and PCB designs.
• Convert conceptual designs into complete product designs, including connectors, cables and wiring to meet the system criteria.
• Create test procedures and test fixtures to support design validation and production testing.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with 7+ years of experience; or
• a Master’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience.
• Experience designing and developing hardware solutions for new products including 
  • High-gain/Low-noise Analog processing
  • Detector to the ADC
  • High-Speed Digital Design 
• Knowledge of clock boundaries conditions and asynchronous data collection 
• Experience developing Analog Data Acquisition hardware using op-amps, active filters and high-resolution ADCs.
• Experience with MCU system design for hardware design and embedded software design.
• Experience with FPGA design suites and simulation tools, like Xilinx and Lattice. 
• Experience with Altium Designer Schematic Capture and PCB Layout design suite.
• Knowledge of product development cycle including releases 
• Experience with high-voltage (8kV) board design 
• Knowledge of Ion Mobility Spectrometry
