We are seeking a dedicated Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development of cutting-edge radar signal processing capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading systems development of new radar signal processing technologies, ensuring robust detection and tracking of air targets in challenging environments. The successful candidate will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance system performance and capabilities.
- Perform system engineering development of new signal processing-based radar capabilities for radar detection and tracking of air targets.
- Conduct system analysis/trades, develop new architectures and algorithms, and generate requirements.
- Develop new algorithms and simulation models to assess performance of new designs in support of PDR and CDR.
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineering to define computational needs and architecture.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to collaborate on backlog planning, implementation approach, and integration and test plans.
- Analyze data from performance simulations and field tests, troubleshoot issues, and develop fixes or design updates.
- Represent the company at technical reviews, meetings, and formal design reviews.
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive experience with RF, signal processing, algorithm development, DSP, and MATLAB.
- Detailed technical expertise in radar systems, digital beam forming, electronic protection, ground clutter mitigation, and radar calibration.
- Experience developing systems tools and simulations using MATLAB, Python, and/or C.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Eighteen or more years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, sixteen or more years with a master’s degree, or thirteen or more years with a PhD.
- Experience with development tools including Confluence, Jira, and Git.
- Familiarity with Digital Beam Forming techniques.
- Experience developing radar system level simulation capability.
- Previous experience working with the Department of Defense.
- Experience developing electronic warfare techniques.
