Position Summary

The Consumer Engagement & Analytics team is helping lead the effort to drive improved consumer experience by partnering with key business areas across CVS Health to deliver impactful analytic products and insights. As a member of the Assortment Analytics team, you will be at the forefront of delivering high visibility products for key CVS Retail strategic priorities. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to drive traffic, revenue and customer satisfaction in CVS Health's Front Store business using data science to optimize assortment decisions.

As an Analyst in the Solution Delivery arm, you will be expected to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver an end-to-end assortment solution. We are looking for talented individuals who have a strong sense of ownership, accountability and a desire to deliver high-quality intuitive and impactful analytic products using advanced data driven approaches.

Your core responsibilities will be centered on 3 areas:

Business Translation and Solution Delivery
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and Data Science team to ideate, design and implement merchandising and assortment analytics that support strategic retail initiatives
  • Assist in developing overall roadmap for enterprise optimal assortment solutions that deploy complex data science models through interactive user interfaces
  • Develop a plan of action and managing the direction, priorities, and progress of initiatives in the Assortment Solution over time, aligning short-term and long-term goals to achieve the defined vision


Business Analysis and Analytical Problem Solving:
  • Organize and collect data to run ad hoc analysis and efficiently deliver information to enable discovery of insights from trends, outliers, and patterns in the data
  • Interpret test measurement results and provide insights on performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement in our underlying data science products


Executive and Stakeholder Communication:
  • Translate technical insights and data science discussions into business presentations for executives and business teams
  • Interact with internal and external peers and management to share progress and/or to gain acceptance of new or enhanced technology / business solutions


Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years of consulting or business analysis experience in the retail or technology industry.
  • Strong executive communication skills - ability to structure and present insights effectively to senior stakeholders, and to communicate technical concepts / solutions to business partners
  • Analytical problem-solving mindset, with experience conducting and interpreting ad hoc analyses
  • Strong organizational skills - able to prioritize competing tasks and manage deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter mentality with a sense of ownership - can independently drive analyses and deliverables
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL is a plus


Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to assortment analytics or retail
  • Problem solving skills and experience in translating business problems across disciplines into advanced analytic projects with measurable business value
  • Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tool and languages to analyze large datasets and proficiency in latest cloud based advanced tools and platforms
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment and work in a climate of ambiguity


Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in analytic discipline or MBA preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$86,520.00 - $173,040.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
