Job Purpose and Summary:

Manages and directs the Workflow, Extemp, Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate leads or supervisors.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

% Time
  • Ensure all orders are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Control payroll and courier costs.
  • Dispense advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies.
  • Review operating results of the organization, compare them to established objectives, and take steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
  • Establish and maintain an effective system of communications throughout the organization.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
  • Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.


Management Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing employees with timely, candid and constructive feedback; developing employees to their full potential and providing challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.


Education:

High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED)

Associates Degree

Prior Relevant Work Experience :

3 to 5 years

Minimum (Required) Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible and manage a team
  • Good organizational skills and detail oriented
    • Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numeral), brand and generic names of medications and general pharmacy terminology
  • Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
  • Ability to maintain composure on phone when handling customer calls.
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training in a long term care pharmacy environment
  • Two years of previous leadership experience


Physical Demands:
  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $112,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
