Job Description
Our client is seeking a motivated and leadership-oriented individual to join the team as a Test Engineering Technician in Annapolis, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Set up, run, and troubleshoot test sets for a wide variety of programs down to the component level.
- Support technicians through troubleshooting hardware and test sets.
- Mentor and train new and experienced technicians on newer test sets.
- Gather and analyze test data to identify early trends.
- Support program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Test Engineering to develop and implement hardware and test system improvements and solutions.
- Assist engineering in creating designs and developing circuits, processes, and operations that ensure proper function of product and test equipment per design specifications.
- Develop, construct, and support tests of highly complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems.
- Perform repairs and calibrations as necessary.
- Perform initial procedural tests on new and/or changed equipment and make modifications/calibrations as required.
- Assist Test Engineering with the development of processes, test procedures, and revision notices.
- Perform integration testing of software and hardware.
- Adhere to established procedures and practices to ensure compliance.
- Technician experience in electronics, electrical systems, and test assembly.
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in engineering, soldering, test development, and wiring.
- Knowledge of avionics, sonar, radio frequency, radar, and repair.
- Experience with unmanned systems, UAVs, UUVs, robotics, sensors, and antennas.
- High school graduate or recognized equivalent (GED).
- Graduate of a two-year full-time technical school in electronic technology or six months of military electronic school/training plus two years of military experience in the repair and maintenance of electronic systems.
- Experience using MS Office tools.
- A minimum of 7 years experience as an electronics technician or equivalent.
- Ability and experience troubleshooting down to the component level.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance; US citizenship required.
- Experience testing RF circuitry and troubleshooting to the component level by following schematics is preferred.
- Experience with test tool development and test procedure development.
- Experience with LabView software.
- Experience in training and/or mentoring other personnel.
The work environment is a cleared facility in Annapolis, MD, comprising a team of 21 Electro-Mechanical Technicians in Assembly and Test. The position requires at least a Secret Clearance (or eligibility) and may require flexible hours, including 2nd shifts and overtime. The team works under the supervision of the Manager of Electrical Manufacturing, who reports to the Test Engineering Manager.

This is a Contract position based out of ANNAPOLIS, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $46.00/hr.
