Compounding Technician

We are seeking a skilled Flavor Compounding Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in blending, mixing, and compounding chemicals, as well as expertise in batch making. You will be responsible for accurately preparing, batching, and blending flavor and extract formulations according to approved formulas and production schedules. Ensuring product quality, consistency, and compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards in a manufacturing environment is key.

• Accurately weigh, measure, and mix raw ingredients following established formulas and batch sheets.
• Operate mixing, blending, and batching equipment safely and efficiently.
• Verify ingredient identity, lot numbers, and quantities prior to use.
• Monitor batches during production to ensure consistency, texture, flavor, and appearance.
• Submit samples to Quality Control for testing.
• Filter batches and ingredients as required.
• Perform in-process quality checks and document results.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and food safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized work areas, including proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
• Report deviations, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Assist with inventory tracking of raw materials and finished compounds.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 1–3 years of experience in flavor, food or beverage manufacturing, compounding, or batching preferred.
• Ability to read and follow detailed formulas, SOPs, and batch records.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic math skills for measurements and conversions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations is a plus.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or food science training preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds.
• Ability to work in environments with temperature variations, noise, food ingredients, and some exposure to odors and chemicals.

This role is based in a small manufacturing environment with a total of 14 employees. The company specializes in creating flavors, which means strong scents are prevalent in the workspace. The atmosphere is familial, reflecting a small family-owned business where employees are treated like family.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belcamp, MD.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Belcamp,MD.
