Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

Required Education
- Education: PhD in physics, mathematics, or acoustics, or equivalent experience.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Interim Secret security clearance required to begin employment.
- Background: Must have 10+ years experience developing physics-based models in one or more of the following areas: acoustics, signal processing, numerical modeling, scientific computing, oceanography. Must have experience creating and extending physics models written in MATLAB
- Skills: Must have ability to turn theoretical research into working models along with the ability to explain complex models to a team of software developers; ability to organize and lead a small team through the design, development, and delivery of new models into existing simulation software; ability to develop and present briefings to our team, our partner organizations, our customers, and sponsors.
- Education: PhD in Physics or Mathematics, advanced math/physics background, continuing education in a technical domain.
- Skills: High-level understanding of the processing limitations of computer hardware and the ability to form solutions to physics problems in a computationally feasible manner. Experience with digital signal processing techniques (e.g. fast Fourier transforms, digital filter design and its applications to beamforming and convolutions).
- Tools: Knowledge of high-level programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Fortran, etc.); experience with Atlassian Products, such as Confluence and Jira.
