Job Description

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling equipment by following blueprints and assembly procedures. Your role involves the final system assembly and testing of systems. You should be knowledgeable in using hand/power tools, as well as shears, brakes, saws, milling machines, and other fabrication equipment. You will apply established standards, processes, and procedures to ensure workplace safety and quality, and promptly inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects. Additionally, you should be capable of reading pneumatic schematics and running airlines, conserving resources to minimize waste, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble equipment by following blueprints and assembly procedures
  • Conduct final system assembly and testing of systems
  • Utilize hand/power tools, shears, brakes, saws, milling machines, and other fabrication equipment efficiently
  • Ensure workplace safety and quality by applying established standards, processes, and procedures
  • Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects for prompt response
  • Read pneumatic schematics and run airlines
  • Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste
  • Follow the attendance policy and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Essential Skills

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of electrical procedures and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency in using hand/power tools
  • Basic math and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-management and teamwork skills
  • Punctuality and commitment to dynamic schedules

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with mechanical assembly
  • Experience in reading, interpreting blueprints and drawings
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
