Job Description
As a Technician, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining all manufacturing equipment within the production areas. You will ensure machinery and equipment are in optimum working condition and provide technical assistance to operators and supervisors on mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic problems. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and replacing electrical components for various types of manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Start up the equipment and review ladder logic.
- Maintain machinery and equipment in optimum working condition.
- Provide technical assistance to operators and supervisors on mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic issues.
- Recommend replacement of equipment and schedule preventive maintenance.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace electrical components for manufacturing equipment, including variable speed motors, VFDs, Micromaster drives, encoders, contractors, relays, and related software programs.
- Troubleshoot and repair control wiring and board repairs as needed.
- Use all electrical measurement devices and mechanic tools.
- Read and interpret equipment operation and parts manuals and electrical schematics.
- Perform computer tasks related to work.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install low and high voltage (single, three-phase) industrial electromechanical and control systems for utility and production equipment.
- Install, wire, and maintain relays, photo-eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, solenoid valves, motors, starters, VFDs, PLC I/O modules, analog control devices, and safety circuits.
Essential Skills
- 2-5 years of experience working as a technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience with wiring and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to perform mechanical work, including valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, and electrical lube routes.
- Experience reading blueprints and schematics.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkridge, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
