Job Title: Telecommunications Drafter


Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Drafter with 2-4 years of experience to join our dynamic wireless practice in the Maryland market. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing small cell and macro sites for various carrier clients using AutoCAD 2D, conducting site visits to gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs, and attending bi-weekly project meetings. You are expected to complete projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with ISO requirements, with a significant focus on civil/structural aspects in wireless/telecom drafting.


Responsibilities

  • Design small cell and macro sites using AutoCAD 2D for various carrier clients.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs.
  • Attend bi-weekly project meetings for all projects.
  • Ensure project completion on time, within budget, and in compliance with ISO requirements.
  • Handle civil/structural aspects in wireless/telecom drafting.

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D with wireless/telecom experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to pass a drug check and an MVR.
  • Skills in organization and multitasking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in wireless/telecom drafting for 2-4 years is highly preferred.
  • Experience in civil, structural, or electrical distribution drafting is considered.
  • Fieldwork experience such as data collection, measurements, and photography is a plus.

Work Environment

The wireless group operates from the Fulton, MD office and consists of about 5-10 people, including four in-house drafters, one drafter based in Ohio, and a dedicated field person. The role requires independent work in the field, once fully trained, in a fast-paced environment. The office supports a collaborative, yet autonomous work culture.
