Inventory Specialist - 1st Shift

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently moving raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility using various material handling equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, turret trucks, and handcarts. You will ensure accurate inventory transactions, maintain product quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment to transport raw materials and finished goods within the warehouse.
• Accurately pick production orders according to work order specifications.
• Follow detailed instructions for pallet types, product segregation, and labeling requirements.
• Execute and record inventory transactions using RF/barcode scanners and Oracle EBS.
• Monitor product quality and promptly report any issues to prevent safety or compliance risks.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory variance analysis and reconciliation.
• Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience with inventory control responsibilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems; experience with WMS, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, order pickers, and narrow aisle reach trucks.
• Strong computer skills and accurate data entry capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to cross-train in multiple areas of warehouse operations.
• Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.

Work Environment

• Spacious, organized warehouse with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Standard schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM.
• Positive work culture with minimal micromanagement and emphasis on teamwork and quality.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hanover, MD.

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $52000.00/yr.
