Hiring Production worker in Hurlock, MD

6AM-6PM Shift and 6PM-6AM Shift

Job Description

Join our dynamic team in a production environment specializing in food products. As a Production Stacker, you will work on production lines, handling tasks such as boxing, stacking, loading, and unloading products. You will operate in a fast-paced setting, ensuring the seamless flow of products through the production process.

Responsibilities

• Work on production lines boxing and stacking products.
• Load and unload products into the machine.
• Palletize and wrap products efficiently.
• Handle boxes weighing 15-20 pounds, loading them onto or off the machine.
• Open boxes with empty glass bottles and feed them into the production machine.
• Palletize products at the end of the production line.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, general labor, or warehouse environments.
• Ability to lift 15-20 pounds regularly.
• Capability to work on high-speed production lines.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to GMP practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with pallet jacks and packaging processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others on a production line.
• Comfortable with standing for 10-12 hour shifts.
• Basic understanding of safety practices in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment

The work environment is a bustling production setting, cold in winter and warm in summer due to a lack of climate control. You will work near machines that emit heat and alongside food products with strong aromas like garlic and salsa. Be prepared to wear safety gear such as gloves, hair nets, and ear plugs. Steel-toe boots are required. The workspace accommodates a diverse team, with many colleagues speaking Spanish or Haitian Creole. Enjoy a well-equipped break room, complete with microwaves and vending machines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hurlock, MD.

The pay range for this position is $15.25 - $15.25/hr.
