We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Certificate of Analysis (COA) Document Control Specialist to support our Quality team. This entry-level role is responsible for the accurate review, organization, and maintenance of COA documentation to ensure materials and finished products meet internal specifications and regulatory requirements. The position plays a critical role in product quality assurance, supplier accountability, and audit readiness. Responsibilities- Receive, review, and verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for incoming raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Confirm batch/lot numbers, product codes, manufacturing dates, and expiration dates match received materials and internal records.
- Ensure COAs meet internal specifications and regulatory requirements, including FDA and food safety documentation standards.
- Enter, organize, and maintain COA records in electronic document control systems and shared databases to support traceability and audits.
- Maintain secure and organized records, following document retention requirements (typically 3–5 years) and version control best practices.
- Support Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Warehouse teams by providing timely access to COA documentation.
- Assist with internal and external audits by retrieving and presenting COA records as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and internal systems to track documentation and communicate discrepancies.

The work environment may be loud, with temperatures that could be hot or cold. The facility may have a strong smell of spices. This position offers the opportunity to work within the second-largest spice company in the state, with six facilities nationwide providing room for growth and movement.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jessup, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
