Job Description
The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in day-to-day warehouse operations by accurately moving, picking, packing, and tracking materials and inventory. This position supports efficient order fulfillment and may also involve local box truck driving for those who hold an active DOT qualification.
Responsibilities
- Move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse using appropriate material handling practices.
- Pull orders accurately based on pick lists or work orders to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Pick and pack products according to established procedures to prepare shipments for delivery.
- Track and monitor inventory levels to maintain accurate inventory control.
- Support general warehouse duties such as organizing stock, staging orders, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Assist with shipping activities as needed, including preparing orders for outbound transport.
- For contractors with an active DOT qualification, operate a box truck for local deliveries in a safe and compliant manner.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Proficiency with basic material handling tasks such as moving, staging, and organizing inventory.
- Ability to perform accurate order pulling, picking, and packing.
- Basic knowledge of inventory tracking and inventory control practices.
- Capability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse setting.
- Reliability and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
- DOT experience is preferred but not required.
- Active DOT qualification is preferred for candidates who will also drive a box truck locally.
- Experience with shipping processes and procedures is a plus.
- Comfort working at job sites in addition to the primary warehouse location.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse environment and may also involve working at job sites as needed. The position is on first shift, providing a consistent daytime schedule. You will work around typical warehouse equipment and materials while performing physical tasks such as moving, picking, and packing products.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Plata, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
