Maintenance Electrician

Aerotek's client is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join their night team in the Landover, MD area

Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician for the night shift, working Sunday through Thursday from 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with occasional overtime on Fridays and Saturdays.
• The role involves maintaining GMPs and excellent housekeeping practices while operating, monitoring, and performing minor troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical problems effectively.
• Maintain and troubleshoot packaging equipment.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and repair of electrical systems using schematics and blueprints.
• Operate and monitor equipment for optimum performance.
• Perform maintenance tasks involving Allen-Bradley, PLCs, VFDs, and hydraulic systems.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five years of PLC and electrician experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Graduate of a Technical/Trade School or completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Knowledge and skills equivalent to two years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a plant environment where temperatures may vary and exposure to dust particulates is common.
• The role requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and crouching to service, troubleshoot, and clean equipment.
• Employees must be able to push, lift, and pull raw materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
• The environment includes mechanical equipment with moving parts, high noise levels, and exposure to dust, heat, cold, and chemical fumes.

This is a Permanent position based out of Landover, MD.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $66560.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Landover,MD.
