Job Title: Civil Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a civil designer to work on site development projects for Baltimore and Harford counties. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and involves handling permitting tasks. Candidates should be adept at interpreting and creating site plans, preliminary design, grading, erosion/sediment control plans, and water & sewer design.

Responsibilities

• Work on site development projects for Baltimore and Harford counties.
• Utilize AutoCAD for project design and permitting tasks.
• Interpret and create site plans and preliminary designs.
• Develop grading and erosion/sediment control plans.
• Design water and sewer systems.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in civil design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge in civil engineering, site development, and land development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A high school diploma is required.
• E.I.T. or P.E. certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D, T5-55, TR-20, HEC-RAS, and HydroCAD is advantageous but not required.

Work Environment

The role is 100% on-site at the office, working Monday through Friday for a total of 40 hours a week. The company provides 100% employer-paid healthcare, a 3% 401(k) match, and generous year-end bonuses once converted. It is a small, tight-knit firm that offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professional engineers. The company has worked on projects ranging from half an acre to 120 acres, including the Bayview Medical Center and the Donald Schaeffer Terminal at BWI Airport.
