Aerotek's client is looking for Material Handlers to join their team in the Perryville, MD area

Job Description

• The Inbound Material Handler manages the receipt of new inventory by unloading, verifying, and stocking items in the warehouse. This role ensures efficient and accurate inbound operations and requires proficiency with internal warehouse systems and equipment, including Powered Industrial Trucks.

Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt of new inventory by unloading, verifying, and stocking items in the warehouse.
• Ensure efficient and accurate inbound operations.
• Operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts and order pickers.
• Maintain proficiency with internal warehouse systems and equipment.
• Handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in material handling and operating reach trucks and forklifts.
• Experience with picking, packing, and inventory management.
• Skilled in using ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
• One year or more of experience in a distribution environment is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.
• Problem-solving skills and professionalism in resolving challenges.

Work Environment

• This role involves working in a generally quiet to moderate environment with occasional exposure to moving machinery, vehicles, temperature changes, dust, fumes, and gases. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perryville, MD.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
