We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Test Engineer to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The ideal candidate will possess accuracy, integrity, subject matter expertise, and the ability to work well both independently and with others.
Responsibilities- Develop test requirements, test plans, test procedures, and evaluation techniques to support system integration and requirements verification.
- Understand interface design documents and derive test tolerances and test methodologies.
- Support on-site System-Level Testing, including data collection, data analysis, and documentation.
- Track and solve test anomalies and prepare associated test analysis reports.
- Collaborate effectively in a team setting with other engineering team members.
- Proficiency in test engineering, test procedures, and test data analysis.
- Experience in system integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or a related field with at least four years of relevant work experience, or at least eight years of SSBN SWS experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to work and communicate well with management, customers, and contractors, including the ability to provide clear and concise presentations of advanced technical concepts.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to interpret and follow requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment and make sound decisions while complying with policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Preferred: 6 – 8 years of relevant professional experience, active DoD SECRET security clearance, current D-5 TRIDENT SWS Technical / Operational Knowledge, SSBN Missile Technician or Navigation Electronics Technical with TRIDENT II SWS/SWSSS deployed experience, working knowledge of the Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) organization, experience working within the SSP Test Program, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or Digital Engineering (DE) experience, knowledge of CAD/CAM/3D Modeling.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule with three days onsite, specifically two mandatory days onsite (Tuesday and Wednesday), and one flexible day. The role follows a 9/80 schedule, providing a balanced work-life experience.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Rockville, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
